My grandmother had cataract surgery there many yrs ago with Dr. Gills Sr. doing the work. She had a pleasant experience and not one problem since the procedure. She could read anything without glasses and was able to see great her entire lifetime since. I took my mom there a few yrs back and she had the same surgery with Dr. Gills Jr. Not a problem at all! She was able to see very well considering she had an underlying eye problem we were not aware of. But they made sure she was able to see well enough without glasses when she left. My husband had an emergency a while back and was about to have a detached retina. They did the procedure and managed to save his sight in that eye. He has one eye done since he developed a cataract on it and he sees great. Always wore glasses too. Now he is developing a cataract in his other eye. He just came home and said they will watch it since he doesn't need the second eye done right now. I say this is an excellent place to come despite the bad reviews. Sure they are busy. They have a lot of patients since they are the best. I wouldn't trust my eyes to anyone else.

This institute is amazing. The process of cataract surgery here feels like something out of science fiction. It runs like clockwork from step to streamlined step all perfectly choreographed for maximum efficiency and effectiveness. There can be no doubt that one is in the very best hands possible from start to finish. It is evident from a glance around the waiting rooms that people from other countries are willing to travel considerable distances for this expert care. In my husband's case, a retinal hemorrhage 50 years ago left him with only peripheral eyesight in one of his eyes. Doctors had warned him through the years that when ihe developed cataracts he might have difficulty finding a doctor who would perform the surgery given the fact that any error could mean complete blindness. Dr. Pit Gills reviewed his particulars and took him on with no hesitation. Citing his experience with similar cases he said that he was certain he could help my husband.
