Extremely professional staff of Doctors, and Physician Assistants. The nursing staff I had when going into surgery was the Very Best.! I couldn't have asked for any better. The volunteer was Super. However, when going for a check up, the wait is soooo long. I've been late and waited, (understandably) I've been on time and yes, even early yet, the wait is still long. BUT THE CARE IS WORTH IT. !!

My last visit to St. Luke's was to obtain another prescription for my ophthalmic solution as my supply was nearly used up and I did not anticipate my mail order resupply would arrive before that happened. My physician, Dr. Gamero, was not working that day to authorize a new prescription. Yet the clerk at the reception desk was not going to let me leave without remedying my predicament and my having to return the next day. Unfortunately, I do not recall her name. But she went the extra mile to ensure I was able to get a refill to tide me through until my mail order arrived, for which I am very grateful. Her professional and caring response to my predicament parallels my experience with all the staff members in the years I have been a patient at St. Luke's.

From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was greeted by someone in person and walked through the sign in process. After a short wait in a seating area, someone else arrived to do some testing on my eyes. Another person made a further evaluation and then I was led to another waiting area. In a very few minutes, Dr. Gill came in and told me what he was going to do to my eyes. He answered all of my questions and gave me some options. After that I was led downstairs to the surgical waiting area until I was called to be prepped for my procedure. The nurses were very caring and soothed any jittery feelings that patients might be expressing. The surgery was quick. I don't remember anything until I was in the recovery area. After a rest in my hotel during the afternoon, we went out for dinner and then repeated the process the following day. I loved being able to do it all in two days. My sight is wonderful, and the world is so much more colorful than I remember. It was definitely worth the trip from California to Florida for the surgery!

I was with a friend and he is very satisfied with St. Luke's and Dr. Gill.

Excellent service, professional doctors, clean/modern facility...occasional long wait times!
