Whether you come in for a cosmetic or medical issue, St. Luke’s Dermatology is committed to providing the highest quality care.

We invite you to further explore our website and urge you to get a dermatology screening if you haven’t had one recently, because healthy skin is beautiful skin.

An Ounce of Prevention is Worth a Pound of Cure

It’s hard to deny the beautiful glow the sun gives our skin but, as we all know, too much of a good thing can be unhealthy. That’s why skin cancer afflicts more than 2 million Americans every year. The good news is that with early detection and treatment most cases are curable.

Always be on the lookout for changes in your freckles or moles. If you have a mole that meets any of these
A-B-C-D-E” descriptions, please contact our office for an appointment.

Asymmetry: One half of the mole does not match the other half

Border: The border or edges of a mole are ragged, blurred, or irregular

Color: The mole has different colors or it has shades of tan, brown, black, blue, white, or red

Diameter: The diameter of the mole is larger than the eraser of a pencil

Evolving: The mole appears different from others and/or is changing in size, color, or shape.

Annual skin care screenings are recommended. Skin cancer screenings save lives.

Glaucoma – The Silent Thief of Sight | Presented by Glaucoma Surgeon Abayomi Fabunmi, MD

Wednesday October 16th, 2019 | 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM | Tarpon Springs

Glaucoma is a group of diseases that have no early symptoms, which is why people sometimes refer to it as the silent thief of sight. Dr. Abayomi Fabunmi will discuss how Glaucoma is diagnosed, the causes, and the treatment options available – both surgical and non-surgical.
He will also explain intraocular pressure, the optic nerve and how Glaucoma causes damage that can lead to vision loss and blindness. Glaucoma is one of the best examples of why it’s crucial to get regular eye examinations — because if caught early, it can often be managed, saving your precious eye sight.
A light lunch will be served at this free event.
