Andreas Zacharopoulos, OD, graduated from the University of South Florida with a 4.0 GPA, earning a B.A. in Chemistry and a Minor in Biomedical Physics. He then completed optometry school at Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, where he graduated #1 in his class and obtained the highest National Board scores in Florida. Dr. Z completed a residency at the Orlando VA Medical Center, where he gained extensive experience in managing ocular diseases. In addition, Dr. Z is an instructor for KMK Educational Services, a company that helps future generations of eye doctors pass their National Board exams.
Dr. Z enjoys many aspects of optometry, some of them being cataract surgery co-management, glaucoma management, and acute care. Prior to joining St Luke’s, Dr. Z worked in private practice.
Dr. Z is fluent in Greek and semi-fluent in Spanish. In his free time, Dr. Z loves to play soccer, go rock climbing, and travel.
