Stephen Deppermann, MD

Stephen Deppermann, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in adult glaucoma management, utilizing both laser and surgical therapies. Dr. Deppermann’s approach to treating patients is customized to each individual as glaucoma can be a long-term condition. To provide the most effective care, he establishes close relationships with his patients and their families. He believes in the importance of constant education and his pursuit of the latest scientific findings enables him to stay on the leading edge of new treatments. Dr. Deppermann’s experience treating glaucoma has evolved from an “intellectual adventure exploring the central nervous system” to an “integrated approach that emphasizes science combined with personalized care.”

After graduating from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Deppermann completed his internship at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in NYC. He completed a neurology residency at the Boston City Hospital, Harvard Medical Unit, and a neuro-ophthalmology fellowship at the Howe Laboratory of Ophthalmology, Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary in Boston. Prior to joining St. Luke’s in 2003, he was a member of a multi-specialty group based in Lake Worth, Florida.
