Jessica Luu, OD
Jessica Luu, O.D. & F.A.A.O., earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and French from the University of Miami, Coral Gables, Florida in 2009. She completed a second Bachelor of Science Degree in Vision Science from Nova Southeastern University’s College of Optometry in Fort Lauderdale in 2012. In 2014 she earned her Doctor of Optometry Degree from Nova Southeastern, and in 2016 she completed a Fellowship with the American Academy of Optometry.
Dr. Luu attended Nova Southeastern University (NSU), Florida’s only optometric academic institution, a school well-known for its clinical experience and international missions. While attending NSU, she trained in-clinic on: geriatric/low vision care, pediatric vision care, contact lenses, ocular disease including diabetic and macular advanced care. She also earned a Mini-MBA Certificate from NSU’s H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship.
She completed her residency at The Eye Clinic at the White River Junction VA Medical Center in White River Junction, Vermont in 2015. She served as an Optometrist at Vision Unlimited and Eyes on the Job in South Florida and also at Optical Outlets in Tampa. Including her work as an Optometric Physician’s Assistant in 2009-2010, she has nearly a decade of experience in eye care.
Dr. Luu is licensed by the State of Florida and is currently a member of the American Optometric Association and the Florida Optometric Association. Originally from the central east coast of Florida and having lived in Vermont, she now resides in Tampa and her interests include photography, travel & yoga. She is fluent in English and French and she speaks basic Vietnamese and medical Spanish.
