Raymond T. Agia, M.D., is an ophthalmologist specializing in diseases and surgery of the vitreous and retina. His specialties include medical and surgical management of diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal detachment, macular hole, and other vitreo-retinal disorders.

Dr. Agia’s education includes an ophthalmology residency as well as a retina fellowship at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary in Manhattan. He has been an assistant clinical professor for the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of South Florida since 1972. Dr. Agia has been practicing in the Tampa Bay area for over 32 years.

Dr. Agia lives in Tampa with his wife Susan. They have three adult children, Lisa, Monique, and Jeffery. His hobbies include biking and swimming.
