Dr. Gills Honored
with Humanitarian Award
October 20 - 21, 2006
At the First Annual Ocular Immunology and
Uveitis Foundation Physician Education Conference held at the
Massachusetts Eye Research and Surgery Institute, Dr. Gills
received recognition for a treatment that he suggested almost
thirty-eight years ago. Once criticized by the medical
community because the idea was new, it is now the accepted
form of therapy at the Ocular Immunology and Uveitis
Foundation in
Boston and
the standard of care at the Massachusetts Eye Research
and Surgery Institute in
Cambridge.
